This class is an exploration of bellydance technique focusing on isolations, posture, kinesthetic awareness, and the biomechanics of movement. This class will focus on integrating finger cymbals (zils) with fast Tribal Group Improv moves. Beginners will learn how to zil and dance simultaneously, while also mastering the basics of the Tribal Group Improv vocabulary, group formations, and transitions. Students already familiar with Tribal Group Improv will learn how to zil while performing more complex TGI moves and combinations. This class is suitable for total beginners and continuing students alike. Each class will feature both basic and intermediate content and the two-teacher format allows for a great deal of personal attention and coaching. Zils will be available to borrow during class time.
